With one more week until the 2025 football season, both the band and Starlettes are staying focused and determined to reach their goal of presenting an entertaining, showstopping halftime performance.
“I’m looking forward to performing our new show, the theme is really good and it looks really good,” sophomore trombone player Kaissey Denmin-Hurtado said. “And I’m excited to teach the new freshmen.”
The band’s halftime show features music from “Up” and other contemporary pieces.
“Our theme this year is ‘The Climb’ and it’s supposed to represent how our band’s hope is to reach area finals this year,” junior trumpet player Lilliana Banda said.
While the band is looking forward to taking the field, the Starlettes are also excited and ready to show off their pom routine to “You Belong With Me.”
“Our halftime shows are going to be super good,” drill team director Mrs. Teresa Aranda said. “We have really good dancers on the team so I’m really excited.”
With the performance only days away, all members of both band and Starlettes must stay on task in order to make sure the performances are as best as possible.
“We really just want to make sure everyone stays on task and stays focused on what they’re doing,” Aranda said.
