The varsity football team took time out of their practice to work on a dance with the Starlettes that will have us all on our toes waiting with anticipation at the next pep rally on Sept. 29.
“I’m looking forward to the football team and Starlettes dance,” junior football player Brandon Jones said. “Very excited to see how we do together and the fun memories we get from it.”
The Starlettes agree.
“I am so excited to perform this dance for the pep rally,” junior Lauren Spencer said. “We always put on a great show and this dance definitely has our traditional Starlette touch.”
The groups promise a more interactive experience for the audience this year, according to junior Starlette Aliyah Jimenez.
“Even though last year’s was super fun, I think this year will play more with the crowd,” Jimenez said.
Both organizations have put in the time to make this dance memorable.
“I think me and my partner will be absolutely amazing on this dance. We ate down last year, so we’re bringing it back for year two,” junior Starlettes captain Maddie Wilson said about her partner Aaron Alexander.
Be sure to wear gold on Friday, Sept. 29, not only to catch this special dance, but also to support the school’s effort to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
