As the Swim and Dive team approaches the end of their season, they hope to make it all the way to state, held at the University of Texas at Austin. With the team doing well at Districts, they hope to do great at regionals and send as many people to state as possible. They were able to reach their goal of making state in years past, and they hope to continue it this year.
The team thrived throughout the season this year. Swim and dive not only compete together, but they truly support one another.
“Their bonding as a team and they swam really well through the season,” coach Kathleen Stibrich said. “The way they bonded as a team has helped them swim better than ever before.”
The team has lots of preparations for their championship meets. They participate in team bonding with movie nights and dinners.
”We root for each other, and have some team building things like a movie night or dinners to pump us up before regionals,” Sophomore Elizabeth Stibrich said. “And I think that all of us have been training really hard this season.”
