As the seniors prepare for senior night on Friday, Oct. 31st, they can help but feel the nostalgia reflecting on memories and the legacy that they will be leaving behind.
“I hope they remember me as a person that inspired the young guys,” football player and senior Marell Davis said. “I hope that I’m somebody they looked up to.”
Not only are football players feeling reflective, but the athletic trainers are as well.
“One emotion that I’m feeling is definitely sentimental,” athletic trainer and senior Gabriel Garcia said. “I’ve been here for four years and seeing us come from freshmen to seniors, it’s just really sad to see.”
Though the senior class feels bittersweet about leaving, they also are proud of the positive mark they are leaving behind.
“I hope they remember how spirited we were and how excited we were to go to the football games,” cheerleader and senior Elise Martin said. “And that they just keep the excitement going.”
For many, senior night isn’t just about football, but a celebration of a closing chapter.
“It’s a celebration of the seniors,” Davis said. “To recognize our hard work over the past four years and congratulate us on what’s to come.”
